Event: Inca Trail Trek

My message:
I have committed to tackling the Inca Trail Trek in Peru in aid of the Down Syndrome Centre, a great and worthy charity dedicated to the support and guidance to parents of infants born with this disability. During a very late night chat with my sister on holidays, she asked me to do a trek that consisted of....8 hours of walking a day over 4 days and 3 nights sleeping in a two man tent in South America for DSC! Back then I thought it was a fantastic idea, but now.... well, I have to stick to it! Instead of sitting on a beach for a week in 2010, I will have to deal with lack of sleep, blistered feet, 10 degrees not 35, sore legs and back, no showers or toilets and other things I am sure to find out about when I get there! Also not forgetting the training before hand to prepare for it all. Believe me, this won’t be an easy undertaking. All donations add up so anything from €1 upwards is greatly appreciated. Each donation goes straight to DSC. All travel costs, permits etc are paid by myself, don’t worry it’s not a free trip to South America but just a very challenging way to raise funds for this very worthy charity.
